Feeds and speeds can vary depending on the exact material characteristics. Here are some conservative feeds and speeds to get your started. These assume the spindle is running full speed.

.004″ (0.1 mm) 30 degree – PCB endmill
PCB – traces 6in/min (150mm/min), not recommended for cutouts and holes. Recommended for fine traces.
.02″ (0.5 mm) flat – PCB endmill
PCB – traces 8in/min (200mm/min), cutout 2in/min (50mm/min), holes 20in/min (500mm/min). Recommended for medium traces.
.04″ (1 mm) flat – PCB endmill
PCB – traces 10in/min (250mm/min), cutout 3in/min (75mm/min), holes 20in/min (500mm/min). Recommended for cutouts and holes.
1/16″ (1.58 mm) endmill
Plastic, wood, other soft materials – 30in/min (800mm/min) feed rate, 15in/min (400mm/min) plunge rate, .04in (1mm) cut per pass.
1/8″ (3.175mm) endmill
Plastic, wood, other soft materials – 60in/min (1500mm/min) feed rate, 20in/min (600mm/min) plunge rate, .08in (2mm) cut per pass.
